Even though we aren't going to a sexy location like France, during my parental leave I really wanted to still have a unique experience with the family. When the idea of a road trip came, I got thinking about the Griswald's and knew we had to do it ;)
Our trip will take us over 3800 km spanning 32 days and staying over 10 cities. If you can imagine the map, we're heading to Fernie, Spokane, Pasco, Portland, Seaside, Seattle, Vancouver, Kamloops, Golden, Calgary (for a pitstop), Edmonton(for a wedding) and back. We've tried to keep each day to a maximum of 4 hours of driving. I'll be blogging about how we did and if it actually works.
As I said before many people thought we were very brief been doing this. But we believe that kids are very resilient. If Chloe and Isaac could handle 9 weeks in Europe Surely a six week old could handle a month from the road.* fingers crossed *
The things that I'm looking forward to the most are food trucks in Portland, the beaches at Seaside, the coffee in Seattle, and awesome sushi and Chinese food in Vancouver.
